BA609 FAA Type Certificate now due 2007

Washington, Usa - According to Bell's senior vice president

Bell's senior vice president, Troy Gaffey, said that the company now expects the FAA Type Certificate for the BA609 tiltrotor to be issued in 2007. While the aircraft's first ground runs are immanent and will happen within the month, followed by low speed flights at the end of the year, the whole programme has been artificially slowed by the company to keep in line with the V-22 production programme....
