ALITALIA TO ORDER SIX BOEING 777ERS

SEATTLE, Boeing confirmed today an order from the italian carrier Alitalia for six 777-200ER passenger planes, with options for six Longer-Range 777-300s. The jetliners will replace a previous order for 747-400s. Air France and British Airways are the carriers which currently operate the largest 777 fleets in Europe.
