Arlington, Usa - Nearly 70 advance orders for the convertiplane
On March 7, a new convertiplane, the Bell/Agusta Aerospace Company BA-609, had its maiden flight. The six to nine passenger aircraft, jointly developed by Bell Helicopter, a Textron company, and by Agusta, an AgustaWestland company, is expected to be certified by the FAA in 2007 with first deliveries to begin immediately following.
