INDIA TO LAUNCH WEATHER SATELLITE NEXT YEAR

NEW DELHI, India's government approved the proposal of launching a weather satellite next October. The satellite, called METSAT, will be built locally and launched from Sriharikota base. It is expected to stay in orbit seven years.
