VARIG BEST BOEING CUSTOMER IN BRAZIL
BRAZIL, A spokesman of the brazilian airline said Varig came out to be best Boeing customer in Brazil. Varig is upgrading its fleet reducing the use of 737-200s and replacing them with 737-700, 737-800, 767-300, 777-200 planes. In order to be able to pursue this goal the airline ordered 39 planes in 1998 which will be delivered between 2002 and 2005. Two B.777 will be delivered in November 2001.
