TALKS BETWEEN CANADA AND BRAZIL ON DISPUTE OVER AIRCRAFT EXPORT SUBSIDIES BROKE DOWN

TORONTO, Following the break down of the talks, Canada will ask the World Trade Organization permission to impose retaliatory sanctions on brazilian goods. Canada plans to impose heavy duties on brazilian goods to make them more expensive on the canadian market. The dispute involves canadian Bombardier and brazilian Embraer which dominate the global market for 50-seat regional jets.
