FRENCH GOVERNMENT MAY GIVE UP MAJORITY CONTROL OF AIR FRANCE
PARIS, According to an unofficial source the french government could cut Air France stake in order to forge a partnership of the carrier with Alitalia, which resisted alliances with state-controlled companies. Alitalia would likely first join the SkyTeam alliance, and would give Air France and the alliance a base in northern Italy.
