UNITED AIRLINES TO RETIRE 25 BOEING 727-200 NEXT YEAR

USA, The airline decided to retire the planes because of the fuel increase and labor costs. Thirteen A319/A320 aircrafts will be purchased to replace the Boeing 727-200s. delivery will begin in the fourth quarter of 2002. The airline will retire the entire fleet of 727-200 planes by end 2003.
